The car racing game Box10 Rally offers the selection of two different game modes in the beginning, namely the challenge mode and the championship mode, plus a practice round (Trial). In the practice round, you compete against a truck with your car. First, you choose your car. The cars that are available all have differences in their properties of speed, control as well as nitro. Speed is of course the speed of the car. Control evaluates how well the car can be controlled and nitro, a nitro injection, is an additional way to accelerate the car. In addition, you can also choose from five different racetracks. It is important to match the car to the track. A car with high speeds is made for an obstacle course with lots of straight lines and much fewer curves. A car of a high curve stability and grip is ideal for curvy courses. Therein, the highest possible speed becomes irrelevant. When making turns, you have to drive a little more slowly so that you do not drift off the track. The control of the car works via the arrow keys. With the spacebar, you can additionally inject nitro into the engine in Box10 Rally. This provides the engine with extra power for three seconds. You will be able to recognize this by the fire rays coming from the exhaust. However, the supply of nitro will fortunately regenerate again, similar to the KERS, so that you can advance at full speeds after only a few seconds. In the challenge mode, you compete against three other race cars. The race takes place over five laps. In the championship mode, you finally compete against your colleagues in several races and on different race tracks. The control via the arrow keys certainly takes some getting used to. You should definitely complete the trial. The graphics of Box10 Rally are nicely done and very detailed. You will easily find your way around.
